1. Native Zapier Integration
Tired of juggling subscription data between siloed platforms? We hear you. Managing recurring revenue shouldn’t mean manual work or complex developer builds for every new tool.
We are excited to announce the official launch of our Zapier integration. This powerful addition connects your UniBee subscription data to over 6,000 apps like Slack, Google Sheets, and Salesforce. It turns complex billing events into simple, automated workflows.

Gone are the days of custom webhook handling for common tasks. Our official Zapier integration brings no-code automation to your UniBee subscription engine. Connect it to your CRM, support desk, or analytics platform in minutes, not weeks.
- Problem Solved: Manually building and maintaining integrations for marketing, communication, and support tools is slow and resource-intensive.
- Example Use Case: Automatically add new subscribers to a specific Mailchimp list or create a Slack alert when a high-value annual plan is purchased.
This integration focuses on making your revenue operations seamless. Here are the core updates.
Real-Time Event Triggers

UniBee supports the following triggers on Zapier:
- New User Event: Triggers when a user event occurs (created, updated, metric update, or subscription update).
- New User Plan Change: Triggers when a user subscription or subscription change occurs.
- New Subscription Event: Triggers when a subscription event occurs (created, activated, updated, cancelled, expired, etc.).
- New Subscription Activated: Triggers specifically when a subscription becomes active.
- New Subscription Expired: Triggers when a subscription expires.
- New Subscription Pending Update Event: Triggers when a subscription pending update event occurs (create, success, or cancelled).
- New Subscription Onetime Addon Event: Triggers when a subscription onetime addon event occurs (created, success, cancelled, or expired).
- New Payment Event: Triggers when a payment event occurs (created, authorized, success, cancelled, or failure).
- New Invoice Event: Triggers when an invoice event occurs (created, paid, process, cancelled, failed, or reversed).
- New Refund Event: Triggers when a refund event occurs (created, success, failure, cancelled, or reversed).
Example use case: Automatically send a personalized welcome message to a new customer’s Slack channel the moment their subscription is activated.
Why Zapier Integration Matters
- Empower Non-Developers: Product, marketing, and finance teams can build automations without writing code. This reduces dependency on engineering resources.
- Increase Operational Speed: Automate repetitive tasks like data entry and notifications. This eliminates human error and frees your team for strategic work.
- Enhance Customer Experience: Trigger timely, relevant communications based on billing activity. This leads to better onboarding and proactive support.
- Gain Deeper Insights: Automatically pipe subscription data into analytics and visualization tools. This creates a unified view of customer health and revenue.

2. Email Delivery Settings Update
We’ve redesigned the Email Settings area to give you more control and flexibility over your delivery infrastructure. This update introduces 2 new sections: Global Settings and Email Channels designed for the granular email delivery configuration.

Global Settings
This is where you set the universal “From” information for emails sent by UniBee. It ensures brand consistency across all automated communications.
- Default From Name: The display name your customers will see.
- Default From Email: The official return address for your system emails.
Think of this as setting your company’s letterhead. It applies globally unless overridden at the channel level.
Email Channels

This is where you manage the technical connections that actually send the mail. You can now set up multiple channels based on your needs.
- Channel Type: Choose between integrated providers or your own infrastructure.
- SendGrid: A one-click integration with Twilio SendGrid. Simply provide your API key for high-deliverability sending.
- Custom SMTP: Connect directly to your company’s SMTP server or any third-party SMTP service (e.g., Amazon SES, Postmark, Mailgun).
- Custom Connection Settings: For custom SMTP channels, configure host, port, encryption (SSL/TLS), and authentication details with full control.
This architecture allows for powerful setups, like using SendGrid for transactional receipts and a separate corporate SMTP server for administrative alerts.
A More Connected and Automated Billing Experience
This set of updates—spanning automation, and infrastructure—represents a significant step forward in making UniBee a more powerful and adaptable engine for your subscription business. Each enhancement is designed to solve a real operational challenge, thank you for building the future of subscriptions with us!
